ILLUSTRATION

BARBARA MASLEN has worked out of New York as a professional ILLUSTRATOR since her graduation from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1977. Working primarily with pastels, creating a contemporary impressionistic style, her work brings a fine art appeal to commercial assignments. She combines her bold color sense and expert draftsmanship with confidence.

Her award-winning illustration style has been widely published,and has gained national recognition with a wide and diverse client base. Her vast experience includes projects with major corporations, advertising agencies, book and magazine publishers, packaging and cosmetic firms.

AWARDS include: The Society of Illustrators, Society of Newspaper Designers, Desi Awards, Creativity Award.

MURALS

Barbara has expanded her work to produce custom, hand painted MURALS and large scale paintings for site-specific residential and commercial commissions; including hotels, restaurants and a resort sales center. Murals can either be painted on site on the existing walls, or painted in the studio on canvas or wood panels to be installed on site.
